ESD - Enterprise Development and Supplier Development - Definitions
Enterprise development and Supplier Development requires the user to capture the specific individual Enterprise Development beneficiaries and Supplier Development Beneficiaries, either manually or via a spreadsheet (the template for the spreadsheet is made available for download when clicking on the “From a Spreadsheet” button. Please note that the system has been designed to reject any upload where changes have been made to the structure of the template).
Enterprise Development Contribution and Supplier Development Contribution Types – These needs to be captured as there are certain weightings attached to each contribution type as is illustrated in table below.


Qualifying Enterprise and Supplier Development Contributions means a collective term describing Enterprise Development and Supplier Development Contributions targeting EME’s and QSE’s which are at least 51% Black Owned or at least 51% Black Women Owned, black youth in rural, and underdeveloped areas in statement 400
Category A or B – Category A beneficiaries are EME or QSE recipients with more than 50% black ownership. Category B beneficiaries are either recipients (of any size) with more than 50% black ownership; or recipients (of any size) with black ownership between 25% and 50% as well as a B-BBEE level between 1 and 6. (Only applicable to the Transport Sector Codes - Old Codes)
