Supplier’s status level appears as unknown

Q: I have just uploaded a supplier scorecard on the Beagle database, but when I go into the Supplier Management System scorecard “report”, the supplier’s status level appears as unknown.

A: There are a couple of possible reasons for this.

Firstly, check that you have entered a VAT number for the supplier on the Supplier Management System

Secondly, check that the VAT number is correct, in other words, that the VAT number on the Supplier Management System matches that on Beagle.

Thirdly, ensure that the BEE certificate uploaded onto Beagle is valid or was valid for at least one day within the measurement period that the scorecard on Supplier Management System is based on.

Fourth, when a VAT number has multiple matches on the Beagledatabase, the system cannot automatically link to one of those matches as this would be a dangerous assumption to make. As a result the system waits for you to manually go into 'Beagle links' and confirm which supplier you are procuring from :

Note that when a new scorecard is uploaded onto Beagle, it sometimes takes a few minutes for it to reflect on the Supplier Management System.
